Susan X. Han has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Susan X. started their career as a Research Assistant at various institutions, including Dalian University of Technology and the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics. During this time, they conducted research and developed models in the field of charge transport in semiconducting materials for photovoltaic technologies.

In 2009, they also gained experience as an intern at China Petroleum Technology & Development Corporation.

Afterward, Susan moved on to work as a Process Control Engineer at Intel Corporation. In this role, they designed a feedforward controller and managed the manufacturing database to improve product yield. Susan X. also collaborated with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and ensure successful production startup.

Currently, Susan is a Managing Engineer at Exponent, Inc, specializing in electrical engineering and computer science. Susan X.'sprimary focus is on electronic systems failure analysis, particularly with thermal incidents. Prior to this, they held positions as a Senior Engineer and Engineer at the same company.

Additionally, during their time at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Susan worked as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant. Susan X.'sresearch involved optimizing device performance in solar cells and analyzing charge transport kinetics and structure-property relationships. As a Teaching Assistant, they guided students in using MATLAB for problem-solving and assisted with laboratory sessions.

Susan X. Han completed their education in Chemical Engineering, starting with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree from Dalian University of Technology, which they earned between the years 2005 to 2010. Susan X. further pursued their education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2010 to 2016, where they obtained a Ph.D in Chemical Engineering. In addition to their academic achievements, Susan has also obtained certifications in Introduction to battery-management systems from Coursera in December 2018 and is currently pursuing a Machine Learning Engineer Nanodegree from Udacity.
