Silvano Maffeis

Silvano Maffeis is the Chief Technology Officer at Vipera Plc. Silvano has over 20 years of experience in the software development industry.

Silvano started their career as a software developer at Olsen & Associates in 1996. Silvano then became the Head of Software Development at the company. In 1998, they left Olsen & Associates to join Softwired as the Chief Technology Officer. Silvano was with Softwired until 2003 when they moved to Pyx Engineering AG as a J2EE Software Architect and Middleware Consultant.

In 2005, they co-founded Vipera, a mobile enterprise software company, and served as the company's CTO until 2018. Silvano then rejoined Vipera Plc as the CTO in 2019.

Silvano Maffeis received their postdoctoral training in distributed systems at Cornell University. Silvano then went on to earn their doctorate in computer science from the University of Zurich. For their master's degree, they studied both computer science and economics at the University of Zurich. Silvano also holds certifications from Scrum.org (Professional Scrum Master PSM-I), Microsoft (Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals), and Oracle (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations 2021 Certified Associate).
