Leo Balik has a diverse background in outreach and education within animal welfare and academic technology. Currently serving as the Outreach Coordinator at New Roots Institute since January 2023, Leo previously worked at Farm Sanctuary as a Humane Educator from September 2021 to December 2022. Additional experience includes roles at Clark University as a Senior Academic Technology Assistant and Research Assistant from September 2018 to May 2022, and an internship at Catskill Animal Sanctuary focused on grants and analysis during summer 2021. Leo also served as a Humane Education Intern at Farm Sanctuary from June 2020 to February 2021 and completed a summer internship with DivestEd in June 2019. Leo holds a Master of Public Administration from Clark University, obtained in 2023, and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the same institution, completed in May 2022, supplemented by a GED from Notre Dame School.
