Timothy Marlowe, Ph.D., has a diverse range of work experience in the field of drug discovery and research. Timothy began their career as an Undergraduate Research Associate at the University at Buffalo, where they worked on developing drug-plasma protein binding assays and identifying structural conformations of Estrogen Receptor-alpha. Timothy then pursued a Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they gained research training in computer-aided drug design and protein-protein docking. After completing their Ph.D., they joined CureFAKtor Pharmaceuticals, LLC as a Research Associate, managing virtual screening and structure-based drug design operations. Marlowe later joined the Roswell Park Cancer Institute as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Ph.D. Candidate, focusing on cancer research. Timothy then joined the University of Arizona as an Assistant Professor and Director of Drug Discovery and Lab Manager, overseeing a drug discovery laboratory focused on small molecule inhibition of kinases and DNA complexes in cancer. Currently, they serve as the Chief Scientific Officer of FAKnostics, LLC, where they continue their work in drug discovery. Throughout their career, Marlowe has utilized various techniques such as molecular modeling, x-ray crystallography, and high-throughput drug screening to advance their research.
Timothy Marlowe, Ph.D. completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University at Buffalo. Timothy studied at the University at Buffalo from 2007 to 2011. Following their undergraduate studies, Timothy pursued further education at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. Timothy earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Molecular Pharmacology from 2011 to 2016.
