Backend Software Engineer at Fetch

Liam M. has work experience in various companies and roles.

At Fetch, they worked as a Software Engineer from February 2021 onwards. Liam developed a Golang microservice for detecting fraudulent receipt data using AWS Elasticache/Redis and AWS DynamoDB. Liam was responsible for multiple Go microservices and AWS architecture dedicated to high-traffic data ingestion and processing. Liam utilized A/B testing and percentage-based rollouts to deploy new features and services to millions of active users seamlessly.

Before that, Liam also worked as a Software Engineer at Fetch from January to February 2021. During this time, they developed an internal SDK for event compression and publishing and contributed to existing and new microservices.

Prior to Fetch, Liam worked at Centare from June 2017 to July 2020 as a Developer. Liam collaborated with other developers on short and periodic projects, utilizing several technologies in the .NET ecosystem and T-SQL.

In 2016, Liam worked as a Back End Developer at Laughlin Constable. Liam pitched and worked on a personal project using Node.js, consulting with a small scrum team during their time there.

Liam M. started their education at Mukwonago High School, where they pursued a general education and received their High School/Secondary Diplomas and Certificates from 2013 to 2017. After completing high school, they went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater from 2017 to 2020. During their time at the university, Liam earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science.

In addition to their formal education, Liam also obtained several certifications from Microsoft. In November 2016, they received the MTA: Windows Operating System Fundamentals certification. In January 2017, they obtained the MTA: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals and MTA: Database Fundamentals certifications. In March 2017, Liam achieved the MTA: Networking Fundamentals certification, and in May 2017, they received the MTA: Security Fundamentals certification.
