Anton Bowers

Anton Bowers is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in developing tools for Big Data analytics and collaborative software solutions. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at FICO since April 2014, Anton specializes in creating self-service tools on Hadoop. Previous experience includes a Senior Engineer role at Karmasphere, where design and implementation of front-end tools for Hive and Hadoop were key responsibilities, and notable achievements included parallelizing query submissions in Hive. Anton has also contributed as a Lecturer in Computing at City of Bath College, focusing on programming and robotics, and held engineering positions with companies such as Ergnosis Ltd, SuperH Inc, and STMicroelectronics. Anton earned a PhD in Metaprogramming from the University of Bristol, alongside an MSc in Artificial Intelligence and a PGCE in Learning and Skills.
