Carlos Valdez is an accomplished professional in risk management and fraud prevention, currently serving as the Head of Operational Risk, Compliance, Internal Control, and Fraud Prevention at Financiera Independencia since December 2023. Previously, Carlos held the position of VP Fraud & Operational Risk at Konfío, where significant contributions included establishing the fraud prevention and operational risk functions while ensuring regulatory compliance and enhancing customer experience. Carlos has also been the Global Head of Fraud Risk & Claims at RappiCard México, and led the Fraud Risk & Investigation team at Gentera, implementing comprehensive fraud risk strategies across Latin America.
