Toby Gardner, CFA

Toby Gardner, CFA has a wealth of experience in the finance industry. Starting in 2003, they worked as a Private Equity Associate for Columbia Winds, followed by an Investment Analyst role at CalPERS in 2009. In 2010, they became a Senior Consultant for Transaction Advisory & Strategy at Ernst & Young, then moved to IOS as a Director in 2012. In 2015, they were the Inaugural Lead Mentor at Stone & Chalk, then held the role of Co-Founder, CEO at Finch (Australia) from 2016-2019. During this time, they were also an Incubator Advisor at the Blockchain Centre (2018) and a Director at Advizor Group (2016). In 2019, they also took on the role of Adjunct Professor (Fintech) at Swinburne University of Technology.

Toby Gardner, CFA obtained their MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in 2010, specializing in Finance & Strategy. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Commerce from Curtin University in 2003, specializing in Finance & Management. Toby also holds certifications from the CFA Institute as a Chartered Financial Analyst, as well as certifications in UX Design and Web Development from Thinkful.
