Dalia D'Amato is a senior researcher at the Finnish Environment Institute (SYKE), focusing on the science-policy interface in the context of the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2030 since August 2022. Concurrently, Dalia serves as a university researcher at the University of Helsinki, investigating Nordic forest policies, and has held roles as an adjunct professor and postdoctoral researcher, exploring sustainability narratives and corporate sustainability in land use-intensive sectors. Dalia is also an editor on the board of the journal Circular Economy and Sustainability and a member of the Helsinki Institute of Sustainability Science. Previously, Dalia contributed to policy advice on bioeconomy issues for the Italian Ministry of the Environment and conducted various research projects related to ecosystem services. Dalia earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Forest Economics and Marketing from the University of Helsinki and holds master's degrees from Università degli Studi di Roma Tre and the University of Sussex.
