Dane Sandersen

Dane Sandersen has extensive work experience in the field of cyber security and technology. Dane is currently serving as the Senior Director of Cyber Security (CISO) at First Student. Prior to that, they held the position of Associate Director, Board of Directors at Landmark Credit Union. Dane has also served in various leadership roles in the United States Army Reserve, including Brigade Commander, Director of Innovation, and G6 (CIO). Additionally, they have worked at Trek Bicycle as the Global Security (CSO/CISO) and IT Director, as well as at SC Johnson as the Global Information Security Manager and Executive Technology Consultant. Dane has a strong background in technology, leadership, and cyber protection.

Dane Sandersen obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the years 1992 to 1997. As part of their education, they also received a US Army Reserve Commission in Military Science from Marquette University in 1995 to 1997. Dane furthered their education by attending the National Defense University in 2017 for a National Security Course. From 2019 to 2021, they pursued a Master's degree in Strategic Studies at The United States Army War College. Dane holds multiple certifications including ITIL v3 Foundation in IT Service Management, CISSP from ISC(2), Security+ from CompTia, and certifications in Information Assurance, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, and Physical Security.
