Kenisha Russell Jonsson

Kenisha Russell Jonsson is a Public Health Analyst at Folkhälsomyndigheten since August 2016, specializing in data analysis and public health investigation, and serving as the principal investigator for the WHO Childhood Obesity Surveillance Initiative in Sweden. Formerly a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Essex, Kenisha conducted collaborative research on the sociology of illness and health inequalities. As the founder of KSR Consult, Kenisha developed resources for Caribbean students studying abroad. Previous roles include research positions at the University of Essex, Sveriges kommuner och landsting, the Institute for Futures Studies, and a research internship at the United Nations. Kenisha holds a PhD in Sociological Research from the University of Essex and multiple advanced degrees in demography and international relations.
