Neha Chhatre has been working in the tech industry since 2012. Neha began their career at Safeway Canada as a Senior Software Tester Co-op. In 2015, they held a Software Developer Co-op position at Brock Solutions, and a Research Assistant position at Menrva Research Group where they designed a wearable 3D printed device for gesture recognition, a PCB for a wearable device, and implemented machine learning for gesture recognition on a 16-bit microcontroller. Neha also created a LabVIEW application to capture bio-signals from a wearable device and conducted online gesture recognition using machine learning algorithms. Additionally, Neha designed a Bluetooth device to enable children with Cerebral Palsy to wirelessly interact with toys and accessibility tools. Neha managed and trained interns to develop Android Apps, design PCBs and print circuit boards using CNC machines. From 2016 to 2020, Neha was a Teaching Assistant at Simon Fraser University. Neha currently holds a Data Scientist position at FORM.
Neha Chhatre began their education in 2006 at Gleneagle Secondary School, where they completed their high school degree. In 2010, they graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Systems Engineering. Neha then returned to Simon Fraser University, graduating in 2019 with a Master of Applied Science in Biomedical Engineering.
