Paul Weedon

Paul Weedon is a seasoned exploration executive with extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as Senior Vice President - Exploration at Fortuna Silver Mines Inc. since October 2021, where Paul leads exploration efforts across Latin America and West Africa. Prior to this role, Paul held various leadership positions including Vice President Exploration at Roxgold Inc. and Director Exploration for both Australia and Ghana at Newmont Mining Corporation. Paul's career also includes significant roles at Anglogold Ashanti, Zambezi Resources Ltd, Morila Gold Mine, and several other companies since beginning as a Geologist at Burmine Ltd in 1991. Paul holds a BSc in Geology from Curtin University, a Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Cape Town, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.
