Jill Baltes

Jill Baltes is an experienced environmental educator and reading tutor with a diverse background in education, animal health, and administration. Currently serving as an Environmental Educator and Visitor Experience Associate at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens since March 2017, Jill leads educational programs for various groups and oversees activities in the Children’s Garden. Additionally, since September 2022, Jill has been a Reading Tutor at Ohio Reading Corps, teaching literacy to underserved 2nd and 3rd grade students. Previous roles include Educational Interpreter and Tour Guide at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Practice Manager at Health & Harmony Animal Hospital, Executive Administrative Assistant at Nationwide, and Veterinary Nurse at Banfield Pet Hospital. Jill holds an Associate's degree in Veterinary/Animal Health Technology from Columbus State Community College, a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication from Ohio University, and two Master's degrees in Landscape Horticulture and Journalism from The Ohio State University.
