Dr. Andreas Kannt

Dr. Andreas Kannt has over 25 years of work experience in various roles related to supply chain management and procurement. Dr. Andreas is currently the Head of Strategy Supply Chain at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Global Head of Procurement at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft from June 2019 to January 2023. Dr. Andreas also has experience as a Lehrbeauftragter Uni Stuttgart / Associate Lecturer at the University of Stuttgart since October 2020. Before joining Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, Dr. Kannt worked as the CEO of Dr. Kannt IMS GmbH, a Supply Chain Consulting firm they established in 2004. Dr. Andreas also held positions in the defense industry as the Head of Supply Chain from June 2018 to June 2019, and at Torqeedo as the Director of Procurement from May 2013 to May 2018. Additionally, they were the Head of Procurement and Logistics at teamtechnik Group from 2008 to 2013, and a Senior Manager of Procurement and Logistics at Siemens from 1998 to 2004. Dr. Andreas started their career as a Senior Supply Chain Consultant at SIEMENS BPC from 1996 to 1998.

Dr. Andreas Kannt completed their education in Biomedical Engineering with a thesis at the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1994. Prior to this, they obtained a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Maschinenbau from the University of Stuttgart in the period from 1989 to 1994. Additionally, they hold a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management from the Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg.
