Alicia Myara has extensive legal experience, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Principal Deputy General Counsel at Freddie Mac since January 2008. Alicia has held multiple titles within the organization, including General Counsel and Secretary, Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, and Vice President and Interim General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Additionally, Alicia is the Past President of the Board of Directors for Alef Bet Montessori School, Inc. and serves on the Advisory Board for the Mid-Atlantic Region of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals since 2009. Prior legal roles include General Counsel and Corporate Secretary/Senior Deputy/Assistant General Counsel at Amtrak from 1997 to 2007 and Partner/Associate at Hopkins & Sutter (now Foley and Lardner) from 1988 to 1997. Alicia holds a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from McGill University.
