Kasun Perera

Kasun Perera has extensive work experience in the banking and financial industry. Kasun started their career at Nations Trust Bank PLC in 2004, where they held various roles including Officer Merchant Acquiring & Relationship and Senior Business Development Officer. During this time, they focused on developing the merchant acquiring business, increasing card acceptance, and achieving team targets. In 2011, they joined Nations Trust Bank PLC - The American Express Card centre as a Senior Officer Merchant Acquiring & Relationship & Support, where they handled promotions with top merchants to uplift merchant spend. From 2012 to 2014, Kasun worked at Pan Asia Banking Corporation PLC as an Assistant Manager - Cards Marketing, collaborating with various departments to optimize credit card products and develop the merchant acquisition business. Kasun then returned to Nations Trust Bank PLC in 2012 and worked as an Assistant Manager - Fraud Control & Investigations, focusing on minimizing card fraud and implementing risk management strategies. Kasun also worked as Head Merchant Business at FriMi from 2017 onwards.

Kasun Perera completed a Master's degree in Marketing from the University of Bedfordshire from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, Kasun attended the University of Colombo of Sri Lanka, where they focused on Advance English starting in 2004. The end year is not provided for the University of Colombo, so it is unknown when Kasun's education at this institution ended.
