Brian Tishuk has over 35 years of work experience in the financial sector, government, and nonprofit organizations. Brian served as the General Counsel and Executive Director for FS-ISAC, where they were responsible for coordinating business resilience activities and developing regional coalitions within the financial sector. Brian also served as the Executive Director of the Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council, promoting collaboration between members and government on critical infrastructure protection and homeland security. Prior to this, Tishuk was the Executive Director of ChicagoFIRST, a nonprofit organization fostering collaboration among Chicago-area firms on business resilience issues. Brian worked with the U.S. Department of the Treasury as the Acting/Deputy Director for Critical Infrastructure Protection and Compliance Policy, where they established an office dedicated to ensuring financial sector resilience and coordinating efforts with the private sector. Tishuk began their career at the U.S. Treasury Department as a Financial Analyst, advising senior officials on various financial institution policy issues. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in legal counsel, business resilience, critical infrastructure protection, and policy development.
Brian Tishuk completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Lawrence University between 1979 and 1983. Brian then pursued a Masters degree in Public Policy from the University of Michigan, graduating between the years 1983 and 1985. Lastly, Brian attended Georgetown University Law Center from 1988 to 1992, where they obtained their Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law.
