Paula Talero Álvarez, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and organizations. Paula is currently working as a Science Communication Officer at the Fundación Pasqual Maragall, a position they have held since March 2022. Previously, they served as a Communication & Outreach Manager at ICE-CSIC under CSIC from January 2021 to March 2022. Paula also worked as a Science Communication & Outreach Specialist at CSIC from December 2018 to December 2020.

Prior to their roles at CSIC, Talero Álvarez was involved in education and communication at Virginia Commonwealth University. Paula worked as an Adjunct Instructor from August 2018 to December 2018 and as a Graduate Assistant from August 2014 to August 2018.

Additionally, they gained experience as a Communication and Research Assistant (Intern) at the Virginia Film Office from January 2017 to May 2017. Before that, they interned as a Writer and radio announcer at Babylon Magazine, a bilingual Hispanic culture publication, from March 2012 to June 2012.

Talero Álvarez's early work experience includes roles at Colegio Mayor Universitario Isabel de España, where they served as a Choral Director from January 2009 to April 2012. Paula founded the choir, recruited new members, and planned rehearsals and music lessons. Paula also worked as a Library Assistant at the same institution from October 2008 to June 2010.

Lastly, Talero Álvarez had a teaching assistant role at St. Lawrence University. Paula Talero Álvarez, Ph.D. has a diverse education history. In 2008, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Following this, they pursued a Professional Degree in Music Performance, General from Conservatorio Profesional de Música 'Esteban Sánchez' from 2000 to 2008.

Paula then furthered their studies and received a Master's Degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from Universidad de Córdoba between 2013 and 2014. In 2014, Paula enrolled at Virginia Commonwealth University and completed a Master of Interdisciplinary Studies degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies in 2015.

Continuing their academic journey at Virginia Commonwealth University, they earned a Ph.D. in Media, Art, and Text in 2018. Concurrently, from 2017 to 2018, they also pursued a Post-baccalaureate Graduate Certificate in Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies at the same institution.

Overall, Paula Talero Álvarez has built a strong educational foundation with degrees in journalism, music performance, film/cinema/video studies, and gender, sexuality, and women's studies.
