Matt Anderson-Baron has a strong background in scientific research and commercialization of protein production technologies. Matt is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Future Fields, a company that specializes in recombinant protein production using a unique expression system called the EntoEngine. Matt is also a Co-Founder and former Chief Technology Officer of Future Fields, where they played a key role in developing the EntoEngine technology. Prior to their work at Future Fields, Matt was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Alberta, where they conducted research in a scientific laboratory. Matt also served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Alberta, providing support in a teaching capacity.
Matt Anderson-Baron completed a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Alberta from 2010 to 2013. Later, from 2013 to 2018, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology at the same university.
