Ann Rolland

Ann has been instrumental in the development of the Cultural/Educational practice since its inception. Her work embraces the pragmatic and the creative to cultivate new ways to integrate program and design to achieve results that are tangible, enduring, and reflect the culture of each client.

Growing up, Ann recalls family dinners often included discussions about her parent's fashion business—how design inspiration came from practical needs, a special piece of fabric, an unusual button, a special seaming technique, or simply a whim. It was these dinner-time conversations that continue to inform her approach to design—concepts seamlessly transformed to reality with attention to proportion, craft, materiality, detail, finesse.

A frequent speaker and active member of the design community, Ann has served on the advisory boards of several organizations and the National Council of her alma mater.
