John Hamshere

John Hamshere has over 33 years of experience in the aviation industry. John is currently working as the Head of Business Development MRO at Gama Aviation, a role they have held since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Signature TECHNICAir from 2017 to 2022, where they served as the Sales and Business Development Manager for the EMEA region, the Head of Maintenance, and briefly as the Chief Engineer. Before joining Signature TECHNICAir, John worked at CSE Citation Centre as the Chief Engineer from 2000 to 2022. John started their aviation career at Airtime Aviation Inc in 1997 as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and then moved to Midair Aviation Ltd and Anglo American Airmotive in similar roles from 1996 to 1997 and 1994 to 1996 respectively. John began their career at Interair Aviation in 1989 working as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer until 1991.

John Hamshere attended City of Bristol College in 2003, where they obtained an EASA pt 66 B1 License. Prior to that, they studied at Northbrook (Chelsea) College Sussex from 1991 to 1994, earning an LWTR & City in Guilds in Aeronautical Engineering degree with a focus on Airframe Mechanics and Aircraft Maintenance. In 1989, John attended Bournemouth & Poole College and completed a City & Guilds 201 Basic Engineering Competencies program. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications in Creating Your Sales Process and Managing Your Sales Process from LinkedIn in 2021.
