Kaila Hale-Stern

Kaila Hale-Stern is a seasoned content director with extensive experience in managing editorial teams and producing engaging content across various platforms. Since March 2017, Kaila has served as the Director of Content and Managing Editor at The Mary Sue, overseeing a staff of writers and generating daily features and social media content. Previous roles include freelance writing for prominent outlets such as Gizmodo and NY Magazine, and content management at Samsung Accelerator, where Kaila edited news stories and created voice content for a digital assistant app. With a background as a senior writer at Gizmodo and community manager at Gawker Media, Kaila has demonstrated expertise in audience engagement and content strategy. An alumnus of Macalester College with a BA in English, Kaila’s career also includes experience in public relations, community development, and education.
