Thomas Ohnesorg has extensive work experience in the field of genetics and bioinformatics. Thomas is currently working as a Senior Genetics Scientist at Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology since November 2021. Prior to this, they were a Senior Genome Analyst at Garvan Institute of Medical Research starting from December 2019. Thomas also worked as a Clinical bioinformatician at The Australian National University from March 2020 to December 2021. Before that, they served as a Genome Analyst at Genome.One from May 2017 to November 2019. Thomas started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Murdoch Childrens Research Institute in September 2006, where they worked until May 2017. Thomas also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Adelaide from September 2005 to August 2006.
Thomas Ohnesorg completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Molecular Genetics from the Technical University of Munich, which they obtained between 2001 and 2005. Prior to that, they pursued Microbiology, General at the same university from 1994 to 2000, although they did not specify a specific degree obtained during that time.
