Aaban Butt

Aaban Butt has extensive experience in policy development and project management within international organizations, particularly in the context of global health and socio-economic development. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Policy at Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance since August 2016, Aaban has led significant initiatives including the review of Gavi’s Fragility, Emergencies, and Displaced populations policy, and has provided strategic support during crucial organizational transitions. Previous roles include consulting for the International Trade Centre and Commonwealth Secretariat, focusing on trade competitiveness in East Africa and sustainable agriculture practices. Aaban holds a Master’s degree in Risk Analysis from King's College London and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Policy with Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
