Sonia de Bock

Sonia De Bock is an experienced online editor and regional journalist at Gazet van Antwerpen since September 2021. Concurrently, Sonia serves as an interpreter for Chinese (Mandarin) to Dutch at Agentschap Integratie en Inburgering and as a live subtitler for VTM Nieuws at DPG Media België. Previous experience includes working as a lifeguard at Sportoase Elshout from January 2017 to September 2021 and teaching English at Xi'an International University in early 2020. Sonia holds a Master's degree in Interpreting and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Antwerp, complemented by studies in Chinese language and culture at Northwest University and Xi'an International University.
