Matt King

Matt King is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in power supply planning and market analysis, currently serving as Director of Markets & Analytics at GDS Associates, Inc. since April 2018. In this role, Matt has focused on assisting public power utilities, conducting analysis and research on wholesale power markets, participating in technical stakeholder meetings, and supporting FERC testimony. Prior to this position, Matt held various roles at Stanford University, including Project Manager and Graduate Engineering Student, and served as a Schneider Fellow at the Natural Resources Defense Council, where analysis on electric rate design was conducted. Matt's career at GDS Associates, Inc. began in May 2009, progressing through multiple engineering titles before taking on project management responsibilities. Matt holds a Master’s Degree in Management Science & Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
