Fang Yin Lo

Fang Yin Lo, PhD, has extensive work experience in the field of bioinformatics. Fang Yin currently serves as a Principal Scientist at Generate Biomedicines since 2022. Previously, they held various leadership positions at TwinStrand Biosciences, including Associate Director - Bioinformatics from March 2022 to August 2022, Bioinformatics Manager from October 2020 to March 2022, and Bioinformatics Scientist II from February 2020 to October 2020. Fang Yin's roles involved leading and managing teams, developing analysis pipelines and tools, collaborating with industry and academic partners, and conducting bioinformatics analysis for various projects.

Fang Yin Lo holds a Ph.D. degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology / Systems Biology from the University of Washington. Prior to that, they completed an M.Sc. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, both from National Taiwan University. They have also obtained additional certifications in various subjects, including New Manager Boot Camp from UC Berkeley Executive Education, Functional Programming Principles in Scala, Object-Oriented Data Structures in C++, and several courses in Machine Learning and Neural Networks through Coursera.
