Michael McLachlan

Michael McLachlan is an accomplished research manager and scientist with extensive experience in trait development and genome engineering. Currently, Michael serves as Research Manager at Genus PLC since April 2021. Previously, Michael held various roles at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics from September 2010 to March 2021, including Group Leader in Genome Engineering and Senior Scientist. Academic experience includes a Graduate Student role at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from 2004 until 2010 and a Research Assistant position at the University of South Carolina from 2002 to 2004. Michael's career began at AgResearch as a Research Associate from 1997 to 2002. Academically, Michael holds a PhD from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BSc(Hons) in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Victoria University of Wellington.
