Guy Byrne has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Guy began their career in 1985 at CSIRO Land and Water as a Senior Technical Officer, where they focused on remote sensing research and applications, image processing, field logistics, and project management. During their time at CSIRO, they also engaged in client liaison, project reporting, and the transfer of methodologies to user agencies and the private sector. Guy remained with CSIRO Land and Water until November 2014.
In 2015, Guy joined BurHor as a GIS Data and Reporting professional, where they worked until April 2016. Following this, they joined Water and Landscape Dynamics as a Research Officer for a brief period until November 2016.
From November 2016 to October 2017, Guy worked as a Spatial Analyst at Geoscience Australia. Guy then transitioned to the role of a Calibration/Validation Scientist at the same organization, where they still remain.
Guy Byrne attended the University of Canberra from 1981 to 1986, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science in Land Science.
