Julien G.

Julien G. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Julien started their career as a Developer at Équipe numérique de François Hollande, where they developed and maintained websites and applications for the campaign. Julien then worked as a Developer at af83, focusing on Ruby on Rails applications and utilizing technologies such as Git, Resque, and Redis.

In 2012, Julien moved on to become a math teacher at Ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Jeunesse but transitioned to a Formateur role shortly after. Julien trained individuals in various subjects until 2016.

Julien then joined Octoly as a Backend Engineer, responsible for managing logistics automation and adapting database architecture to logistics needs. Julien integrated APIs and worked with warehouses to facilitate smooth operations. In 2019, they joined Stuart as a Backend Engineer before being promoted to a Software Engineer - Team Lead role and eventually an Engineering Manager position. Julien managed a remote team, conducted weekly 1:1s, and provided hands-on guidance.

Currently, Julien G. works as an Engineering Manager at Getaround, where they continue to oversee engineering operations and lead a team.

Julien G. started their education in 2006 at IUT MONTPELLIER-SETE, where they pursued a DUT degree in Information Technology. Julien attended this institution until 2008. Following their successful completion of the DUT program, Julien continued their education at Polytech Montpellier from 2008 to 2011. During this time, they obtained a Master's degree / Ingénieur in Software Engineering.
