Steve Larson has a diverse range of work experience. Steve started their career in 2011 as a Research Assistant at Macalester College, where they conducted research in organic chemistry and also served as a Supplemental Instruction Leader and a Science Tutor. In 2013, they joined the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant, focusing on block copolymers and instructing students in laboratory techniques.
In 2015, Larson co-founded a non-profit organization called Breathe For Change, where they served as the Director of Business Development. Steve was responsible for developing the organization's business plan and leading technical initiatives. The organization aimed to provide socioemotional support tools to educators and students through mindfulness practices.
Larson then joined UnderBelly Creative & Collective in 2019 as a Developer. At this start-up, they were involved in mobile application and website development, as well as providing business direction. Steve utilized technologies such as AWS, React, React-Native, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
In 2016, Larson joined Epic as a Technical Account Manager and Developer. Steve worked with customer teams to manage the long-term maintenance, support, and infrastructure of healthcare systems' Epic deployment. Steve also led the development of release management systems and played a significant role in issue tracking and mitigation, routine patching and upgrades, and implementing new product suites.
Most recently, Larson joined Ghost in 2023 as a Product Engineer. Further details about their role are not provided.
Steve Larson pursued their education in the field of chemistry. From 2009 to 2013, they attended Macalester College and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Chemistry. Subsequently, from 2013 to 2015, they furthered their academic journey at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Organic Chemistry.
