Jean-Paul Schmetz

Jean-Paul Schmetz has a varied work experience, beginning in 2007 as a Board Member for OPMS Ltd. In 2010, they became a Director for Hackfwd, and in 2011 they became a Member of the Board for New Work SE. Jean-Paul then moved to Cốc Cốc in 2015 as the Chief Executive Officer and also became a Board Member for SHOWROOM Sp. z o.o. in the same year. In 2012, they joined Burda as the Chief Scientist, and in 2017 they became the President of Ghostery, Inc. In 2021, they were promoted to Managing Director of Ghostery, Inc., and in 2022 they became a Board Observer for Brave Software.

Jean-Paul Schmetz obtained their Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Philosophy from KU Leuven in 1993. Jean-Paul then attended Stanford University from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Computer Science and a Mining Massive Data Sets Graduate Certificate. In April 2019, they obtained a Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera.
