Miet Billen

Miet Billen has a strong background in supply chain and strategy, with experience at multiple companies. Miet currently works at Galapagos as the Supply Chain Strategy Lead. Prior to that, they worked at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Project Leader and Consultant, where they undertook various projects in healthcare and medical devices, government strategy, and industrial goods restructuring. Before joining BCG, they were a Manufacturing Process Specialist at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, where they focused on quality investigations and process improvements. Miet also completed a Supply Chain Management Trainee program at Janssen, rotating through different areas of the business. Miet began their career with a corporate internship at MSD. Overall, Miet has a robust and diverse range of experiences in supply chain, strategy, and operations.

Miet Billen completed their Master of Bioscience Engineering in Catalytic Science and Technology from KU Leuven, which they pursued from 2008 to 2014. Miet then continued their education at Vlerick Business School and obtained a Master in General Management from 2014 to 2015. Additionally, they received additional certifications such as Yellow Belt from JSC in March 2017 and APICS: BSC & MPR from APICS in March 2016.
