Charlotte Lee Smith has extensive work experience in the legal field. Charlotte started their career in 2002 as an Associate at Nixon Peabody LLP, where they worked until 2012. During their time there, they gained valuable experience in various legal aspects.

In 2012, Charlotte joined SolarCity as a Senior Counsel in the Structured Finance team. In this role, they were responsible for structuring, drafting, and negotiating tax equity and debt financing for commercial and residential solar assets. Charlotte held this position until 2015 when they transitioned to the role of Assistant General Counsel, still focusing on structured finance.

In 2017, Charlotte joined Tesla as an Associate General Counsel, continuing their work in structured finance. At Tesla, they supported the Finance organization and was involved in structuring, drafting, and negotiating financing for auto and solar assets. Charlotte also provided legal support to the Tesla Insurance business group. Charlotte worked at Tesla until 2020.

In 2019, Charlotte moved to GoodLeap LLC, where they served as the Deputy General Counsel. Charlotte continued in this role when they joined GoodFinch in 2020. Charlotte's excellent legal skills and experience make their a valuable asset to any organization.

Most recently, in 2022, they joined Chief as a Member.

Charlotte Lee Smith began their education in 1992 at Cornell University, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication in 1996. Charlotte then pursued further studies in the field of Film Studies at University College Dublin from 1997 to 1999, earning a Master of Arts degree. Their education continued at Northeastern University School of Law from 1999 to 2002, where they obtained a Juris Doctorate degree in Law.
