Ahmed Jakda

Palliative Physician at Grand River Hospital

Ahmed Jakda is a highly experienced palliative physician with a focus on vulnerable populations, currently employed at Guelph Community Health Centre since June 2020 and Grand River Hospital since March 2008. As a Medical Director of Palliative Care, Ahmed oversees outpatient clinics and serves as associate staff at both Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital. Previous roles include Provincial Palliative Clinical Co-Lead for the Ontario Palliative Care Network, IDEAS faculty at the University of Toronto, Board Director for the Ontario College of Family Physicians, and Physician Lead for Kitchener-Waterloo Hospice Palliative Care Physician Group. Ahmed's education includes an MBA from Ivey Business School, a Pain and Palliative Medicine Fellowship from The Ohio State University, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Saba University School of Medicine, among other qualifications.
