Nico Hänggi

Nico Hänggi has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Nico is currently working as a Software Engineer, Backend at grape since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineer, Full-Stack at grape from April 2022 to March 2023. In 2016, they founded their own company, beyond corporation gmbh, where they served as the Owner & Lead Developer. In 2021, they worked as a Backend Engineer at Caplena AG until April 2022. From January 2018 to July 2019, they worked as a Backend Engineer at Kickmoji LLC, where they played a key role in engineering the TypeScript API service and managing testing, deployment, and monitoring. Nico also has experience working as an Atlassian Developer at Helvetia Versicherungen Schweiz in 2016, where they rebuilt the Atlassian JIRA and Confluence software integration. Nico began their career as a Web Developer at Sennheiser in 2015, where they designed and developed a JavaScript web application using D3.js and RESTful APIs.

Nico Hänggi pursued their education in a chronological manner. Nico attended Regionales Gymnasium Laufental-Thierstein from 2012 to 2015, where they studied Mathematics and Physics. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at ETH Zürich and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from 2017 to 2020. Following their undergraduate studies, Nico continued their education at ETH Zürich, specializing further in Computer Science, and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree from 2021 to 2022. In addition to their academic qualifications, Nico also obtained certifications such as a TOEFL iBT score of 118/120 from The TOEFL® test in January 2017, and a Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE) from Cambridge English Language Assessment in June 2014.
