John Walsh

John Walsh is the current COO at Graphcore. John has held various positions at different companies including Applied Materials, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, picoChip Designs Ltd, Qimonda, Altis Semiconductor, Siemens, and Infineon Technologies / ProMOS. John has a wealth of experience in semiconductor technology consulting, yield improvement, defect reduction, FDC data analysis, service products, big data concepts, semiconductor benchmarking, product engineering, assembly & test solutions, board product engineering, partner management, foundry management, contract negotiation, program management - product development, Asian cooperations, and yield and diagnostics management.

John Walsh has a PhD in Surface Science from The University of Manchester, an MSc in Surface Science and Catalysis from the University of Liverpool, and a BSc in Chemistry from University College Cork.

John Walsh reports to Nigel Toon, CEO & Co-Founder. They work with Jason Lu - CRO, President of China, Sophie Froment - Chief People Officer, and Alan Alexander - Chief Processor Architect. A direct report to John Walsh is and Jon Khazam - EVP, Strategy and Business Development.
