Sonia Shukla

Sonia Shukla is an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in finance and actuarial projects, currently working at Canada Life / Great-West Lifeco Inc. since October 2016. Key responsibilities include managing the revision of over 60 actuarial and accounting policies for the IFRS 17 initiative and overseeing the implementation of technology solutions for reporting through SAP Cloud Analytics. Previously, Sonia held various project management roles in Corporate Technology and Compliance, focusing on stakeholder management, project delivery, and developing structured project plans. With earlier experience as Program Lead at the Canadian Institute for Health Information and a background in data analysis at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Sonia brings extensive expertise in project planning, communication, and team collaboration. Sonia holds a Master's degree in Human Development & Applied Psychology and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology from the University of Toronto.
