Jelle Altena

Jelle Altena has extensive work experience in various HR and management roles. Jelle is currently working at Greif as the HR Director for the EMEA Northwest region, where they are responsible for mergers and acquisitions. Jelle has also served as the HR Director for different regions within Greif, including the Northwest & Southwest EMEA and Central, Western & Eastern Europe. Prior to joining Greif, Jelle worked as the Senior HR Manager Benelux at Refresco, where they led the local HR team and developed HR strategies. Jelle also worked at Yum! Brands as an HR Advisor and Operations Manager, overseeing multiple locations and driving business growth. Jelle's earlier experience includes working as an Assistant General Manager at HMSHost International, where they managed the daily operations of retail stores.

Jelle Altena completed their secondary vocational education in Hotel- en hospitality management at Hotelschool Amsterdam from 1995 to 1999. They then pursued a Bachelor's degree in International Business Management (BAHM) from the University of Aberdeen from 1999 to 2001. In addition, Jelle obtained the GITP/PI Company Assessor certification in 2015. Later in 2023, Jelle completed several certifications in areas such as HR communication, HR as a strategic business partner, change management, humble leadership, and teamwork time management, all from LinkedIn.
