Robert Daoust has a diverse work experience, starting with their most recent role as retired at the Home office in 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Vice-President of Innovation and Marketing at Novatech Group from 2012 to the present. At Novatech Group, their responsibilities included overseeing all marketing and product development activities, as well as being a member of the executive team to grow the business internationally. Robert achieved several accomplishments, such as reorganizing and restructuring marketing, merchandizing, and R&D activities, resulting in positive sales and market share growth. Robert also transformed the European plant into a profitable facility and commercialized numerous new products. Before Novatech Group, they served as the VP R&D at Oldcastle from 2003 to 2012 and as the Vice-President of Assembly and Material Handling at Axium Industrial Solutions from 2000 to 2003. Prior to that, they worked as the Director of Automation and Robotics at CRIQ or the Quebec Industrial Research Center from 1987 to 2000.
Robert Daoust obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University in 1979. Robert then went on to complete a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Accounting and Finance from McGill University between 1985 and 1989. Additionally, they hold a certification from the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec, which they obtained in 1979.
