Mariam Gulaid is a seasoned public health professional with extensive experience in research, policy advising, and program management. Currently serving as a Senior Research Associate at the Guttmacher Institute since July 2023, Mariam previously held the position of Policy Advisor at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, focusing on critical portfolios such as the Year of Evidence for Action. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Program Manager at the Boston Public Health Commission, leading initiatives on teen dating violence prevention, and as an ORISE Fellow at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where qualitative data analysis was conducted to inform public health strategies. Educationally, Mariam holds a Master of Public Health from Emory University and a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Columbia University, complemented by an International Baccalaureate from Waterford Kamhlaba UWCSA.
