Giacomo Caio

Giacomo Caio serves as the Director of the Provincial Center for Celiac Disease Diagnosis and Allergy Diseases at Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Ferrara and holds dual roles as Chief Medical Officer in the Allergy and Gastroenterology Outpatient Clinic. Giacomo also functions as an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine, Allergy, and Gastroenterology at the Università degli Studi di Ferrara and works as an Allergologist and Gastroenterologist at Centro di Medicina Ferrara and GVM Care & Research's Private Clinic in Bologna. Additionally, Giacomo has extensive research experience as a Visiting Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School since 2016, alongside editorial responsibilities for BMC Medicine. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Advanced Pediatric Allergy and Immunology, a Research Grant in Allergy, a Doctorate in Gastroenterology, a Specialization in Internal Medicine, and a Medical Degree, all obtained from prestigious institutions in Italy.
