Sotirios Korossis

Director Of Biomedical Engineering at Hannover Medical School

Sotirios Korossis is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering & Bioartificial Organs at Loughborough University Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing Engineering since July 2018. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Biomedical Engineering at Hannover Medical School starting from February 2012. From October 2006 to February 2012, they held the role of EPSRC Advanced Research Fellow at the University of Leeds, following their position as a Postdoctoral Researcher from September 2000 to October 2006.

Sotirios Korossis completed their education in a chronological order. Sotirios first attended the 1st Lyceum of Megara, although the start and end years for this educational experience are not provided. After that, they enrolled at Queen Mary University of London from 1993 to 1996, where they obtained a BEng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they pursued further studies at the University of Strathclyde from 1996 to 1997, earning an MSc degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering. Finally, they attended the University of Leeds from 1998 to 2001, where they successfully obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
