Luz Freytes

Luz Freytes, MSW, currently serves as a School Social Worker/Intervention Specialist at Harriet Tubman Charter School since February 2023, focusing on student progress and collaboration with families and community resources. Previously, Luz functioned as a Lead Case Manager at Catholic Guardian Services from January 2018 to January 2023, supervising Transitional Foster Care Case Managers while maintaining a small case load. Additional experience includes roles as a Bilingual Clinician within the Unaccompanied Children Program, Program Director at Lower Eastside Service Center, and various positions at Saint Dominic's Family Services, where responsibilities encompassed case management, youth development, and family support. Luz holds a Master of Social Work from Hunter College and a Bachelor of Arts in Deviant Behavior and Social Control from John Jay College.
