Luke Mulcahy

Luke Mulcahy is an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional with a strong background in mental health and social work. Currently serving at Hartlepool Borough Council since January 2019, Luke is qualified to conduct Mental Health Act Assessments in various settings. Previously, Luke worked at Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council since January 2016, focusing on mental health assessments and safeguarding strategies. With over seven years at Durham County Council, Luke developed expertise in the intersection of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act, while also coordinating care for individuals with autism. Luke holds several academic qualifications, including a level 7 Approved Mental Health Professional qualification from Northumbria University and a BA (Hons) in Social Work from New College Durham.
