Emmit Kane

Emmit Kane possesses extensive governance and leadership experience, currently serving as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for Hawaii Dental Service since May 2019 and Chair of the Board of Directors for Lanakila Pacific Foundation since May 2018. In addition, Emmit holds the position of Chair of the Board of Trustees for the State of Hawaii Employees Retirement System since January 2010. Previous roles include Corporate Safety and Emergency Planning and Preparedness at Hawaiian Electric (February 2019 - February 2023), Executive Board Member for the National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (May 2015 - June 2021), Director of Labor Relations at Hawaiian Telcom (August 2013 - February 2019), and Deputy Fire Chief at Honolulu Fire Department (August 2011 - February 2013). Emmit Kane earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Hawaii between 1993 and 1996.
