Nazar Shabila

Nazar Shabila is a distinguished academic professional currently serving as a Professor at the Catholic University in Erbil since September 2022, while holding the position of Assistant Professor and Lecturer/Researcher of Public Health at Hawler Medical University since September 2007. Expertise includes teaching community medicine, designing and implementing public health research, and supervising student research projects. Nazar has collaborated with relevant health authorities on multiple initiatives and contributes as a moderator for ProMED-mail and as an editorial board member for the Zanco Journal of Medical Sciences. Previous experience encompasses critical humanitarian work with UNOPS, where efforts included designing support programs for internally displaced persons and managing IDP camps during the post-2003 war period.
