Isuru Sachitha Herath

Isuru Sachitha Herath is a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Manitoba and Health Sciences Centre, focusing on Biomedical Engineering, AI/Machine Learning, Signal Processing, critical care, and translational medicine. As a Visiting Industry Mentor at Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, Isuru enhances students' practical application of theoretical knowledge in software development. Previous experience includes roles as a Research and Development Engineer at Synopsys Inc and Co-Founder/CTO at Elementry Innovations Labs, a startup in Kandy dedicated to smart technology research. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science Honours in Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and currently pursuing a Master of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at the University of Manitoba. Isuru has a strong involvement in IEEE, having established and led the IEEE Student Branch at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
