Tess Cavalieri

Tess Cavalieri serves as the Head of Product Innovation at HelloFresh, focusing on Factor Form since February 2024. Previously, Tess held the position of Director of Innovation at Chew from June 2017 to January 2024, leading the integration of design thinking into food product development and exploring innovative applications of new ingredients. Experience includes roles as Innovation Process Manager, Advanced Development Manager, and Senior Food Scientist, contributing to various product categories while successfully raising over $200M for pre-revenue ingredient initiatives. Additional positions include Director of Innovation at Fastfood and Research Assistant at Invisible Sentinel, Inc., where dynamic quality detection methods were developed. Tess also led a prize-winning team in developing a plant-based burger alternative at Rephyll Products. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Product Design & Development Management from Northwestern University and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Food Science and Technology and Human Nutrition from McGill University.
